Conserving Water & Saving Money

Did you know that there are no-cost or low-cost ways you can reduce your water usage? In an effort to minimize your carbon footprint, save energy, and protect our regional supply of water, consider implementing the following suggestions:

  • Lawn Removal. Check with your local water provider/city for their low-cost lawn removal programs.

  • Pay Attention to Indoor Water Usage. Start noticing when you are using water at home.

  • Shorten your shower, turn off the water when brushing your teeth, only do full loads of laundry and turn the sink faucet on only to rinse.

  • Install Low-Flow. Install a water-saving toilet flush system and immediately start saving water.

  • Check & Repair Water Leaks. Even small leaks can waste hundreds to thousands of gallons of water a month.

  • Select Energy Approved Clothes Washer. They use 15-20 less gallons of water per load, and you will see savings on your energy costs too.
